TRAFFIC chaos hit the busy George Roundabout in Poole after a series of accidents in quick succession around 9.30am on Saturday, September 11.

First a motorcycle and a Wilts and Dorset bus were in a minor collision where no one was seriously injured.

But moments later, a light blue Mitsubishi Colt was in collision with a bus.

One man inside the car, who was naked, received cuts to the head.

Paramedics at the scene treated both him and the female driver.

Shortly after, a second motorcyclist skidded off his bike to the rear of the accident scene. He was unhurt.

Emergency services attended – including firefighters as a large amount of fuel had spilled on to the road.

The roundabout was partially blocked, with police officers directing traffic, but jams built up along Wimborne Road, Longfleet Road and Parkstone Road approaching the roundabout.

Firefighters threw down sand around half the roundabout. The damaged car was recovered shortly after 11am, and traffic returned to normal.

The collision happened in almost exactly the same place as where a motorcyclist was thrown from his bike on Thursday just before 5pm.

TWO women were rushed to hospital after a car crash in Longham on Saturday, September 11.

They received treatment for non life-threatening injuries after their two Ford Fiestas collided on Ringwood Road at around 8.20am.

Police closed the road to clear debris from the accident, causing traffic tailbacks.

The road was reopened just after 10am.
