A DOUBLE celebration is under way at Hayeswood First School in Colehill.
Staff and pupils are delighted with the new, unique entrance to their school.
And they are also thrilled to have achieved a rating of outstanding in their latest Ofsted inspection.
It is the second time in a row inspectors have awarded the top grade with the school praised for its overall effectiveness, outcomes, leadership and management.
The report has just been published and inspectors said: “The school has maintained and built successfully on its previous successes. “Most noticeable is the rising trend of high attainment.
“Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary and is reflected in their outstanding attendance and enjoyment of school. “Teachers have very high expectations of pupils. “Parents and carers are fulsome in their praise for the school and all that it offers their children.”
Head teacher John Bagwell said: “The success is a real team effort and the children and adults at Hayeswood are fantastic. “We will now continue to improve and develop.”
And chair of governors Ian Bryant added: “This is a report of which everyone associated with Hayeswood can be proud.”
