WIMBORNE’s Andrew Edmonds has made it through to tonight’s final of the last ever Channel 4 Big Brother series.
Andrew, 19, went into the house six weeks ago, arriving at the BB garden in a spaceship, with two other new housemates, all dressed in silver “space suits”. Since then other challenges have included singing live to the public and having to say yes to every question for a day.
Mother, Christine, 50, said: “When he found out he was going on the show, he was allowed to tell one person and when he told me, I was really pleased for him. It’s a sign of his confidence he was chosen.
“He’s unusual, with a dry sense of humour which some don’t get, so I think that’s why he was picked.”
Andrew studies maths at Oxford University, after gaining A-level maths aged 13.
In a twist to the normal format, he will stay in the house to be joined by housemates from previous series. She added: “He’s put 100 per cent into every task he has been given. Hopefully, he will prove to be a good role model because he is sensible and grounded.”
