YOUNGSTERS got into the carnival spirit in Burton.
Around 100 children from Scouts to Beavers and Guides to Rainbows took part in the Burton Scout Carnival, each choosing their own themes, ranging from Alice in Wonderland to the World Cup.
The procession left the village primary school and headed for Martins Hill Lane Recreation Ground, where a band, police dog display, karate demonstration and dance shows were just some of the attractions on offer. Ellie Peroni, 13, was carnival queen.
Emma Kearney, one of the organisers, said: “On a day like this it’s great and we have lots going on.
“They do all enjoy it and the Scouts help out with the stalls.”
