HAVING wowed judges at Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival, teenager Tiffany Hannam-Daniels will be packing her bag to fly to Los Angeles next year where she has been offered a part in a pilot for a new TV series.

Tiffany, 15, walked away with eight first places at the festival where she was representing Direct Theatre School. She also landed two second places and four Outstanding grades.

She was overall winner of the junior championship and was awarded both the Hazel Fry Cup and also the Doreen Merrifield Scholarship which offers a full bursary to attend The British & International Federation of Festivals summer course at Haileybury College in Hertford.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity and it’s all thanks to the support of my parents and my really fantastic teacher Juliette Malan,” says Tiffany. “I joined Direct Theatre just a year ago, but they have taught me so much.’’ Tiffany has already had several professional roles including the lead child in the feature film True True Lie which was filmed in Romania and starred Jaime King. She also provided the voice for the child ghost in the horror film 1408 starring Samuel Jackson and John Cusack.

Although she’s off to Tinseltown in February next year, Tiffany will be back for Direct Theatre’s annual show at Bournemouth’s Pier Theatre in March.

And last month she filmed a promo for a new TV talent show for young actors which will be on our television screens in October. The directors were so impressed with her that they used her work on the promo as her audition for the actual show and fast tracked her straight into the live television show finals!

Direct Theatre School is run by husband and wife team Peter and Juliette Malan who welcome students aged two to 19.
