A POOLE car washing business will be homeless from tomorrow after Asda boots it out of its car park.

Mr Valet has operated out of the Holes Bays store’s car park for more than three years – paying rent to the supermarket.

But three weeks ago business partners Michelle Crawford, 27, and James Stewart, 28, were told they had to leave.

The confused pair claim they have been offered no explanation why – and they believe they have a lease with more than a year to run.

But Asda insists it is entitled to ask them to go – and has put the decision down to complaints from customers and staff.

Mr Valet was given one month’s notice, which expires on Wednesday.

They have gathered 200 signatures on a petition from happy customers calling for them to stay, but they say they are being ignored by Asda.

Michelle told the Echo: “They haven’t communicated with us – they just said to pack your stuff and go.”

“They’re the big boys and they think they can do what they want, really,” she added.

A spokesman said: “At Asda we always put our customers first. We’ve taken this decision because we’ve received complaints about the current tenant from both customers and colleagues over the last few months.

“We’re satisfied that we're entitled to ask the tenant to leave and we’ve given them a reasonable period of time to vacate the unit.”
