Phil Spencer from Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, is to host the Daily Echo-backed Dorset Property & Architecture Awards 2010.
The event, sponsored by Planning Solutions, the town planners in Bournemouth, takes place at the BIC on Wednesday, October 27. They will celebrate excellence in residential and commercial property, architecture, rural development, estate agency and council planning.
There are 10 categories:
* Best New Residential Scheme
* Best New Commercial or Mixed-Use Scheme
* Best New Community Building or Project
* Best New Extension/Conversion * Best Rural Development
* Best Architect/Practice
* Best Planning Department (automatic entry for all Dorset LPAs)
* Best Environmental/Eco Project (The Green Award)
* Best Estate Agency of the Year Best Overall Winner of 2010
The six judges are: Neal Butterworth, Daily Echo editor-in-chief, James Hodkinson, former chief executive of New Look and chairman and chief executive of B&Q, Ken Mantock, director of community and environment for Mears Group Plc, Timothy Cantell, manager of the South West Design review Panel, Adam West from CZWG Architects and Sue Mirco, an interior designer in Bournemouth.
The closing date for entries is Tuesday, August 31 and applications can be made at: propertyawards.org.
