THERE'S no doubt it's a warm welcome at Wiggle Supper Rooms.

Bournemouth's newest bar and restaurant opened at the weekend, with some intrigue over what was to be on offer.

The bar's website promised unsurpassable entertainment and exotic dancing, as well as fine dining. So did it mean lap-dancers, cabaret, even ventriloquists?

Plush purple and gold drapes, tiger-print carpet and soft lighting tell you pretty much everything you need to know within seconds of arriving.

You are offered a table if you wish to be near the stage, with a cover charge for food well, it is a restaurant after all.

This offers you a prime location to enjoy a show, but those expecting Bob Carolgees and Spit will be slightly let down.

Exotic would come close to describing the entertainment, but pole-dancing would come closer.

Gorgeous girls use the handily-placed pole to slide up and down as their clothes saucily slip away. Cracking stuff for the gaggles of guys enjoying their snacks, for sure.

To just take a drink in the bar, you can saunter in free and enjoy the opulent surroundings.

And it's all very pleasant, even more so when an onslaught of beautiful girls take it in turns to sidle over and chat you up.

But just as you're thinking that natty new haircut really has done its job, you realise there's more to their interest than a quick exchange of small talk.

The offer of lap dances in private rooms is not slow in coming, so the choice is yours take it or leave it.

There are certainly more takers than leavers, which suggests most of the customers knew what to expect before they arrived.

A perfect night out for your cash-laden bachelor, then.

However, those just hoping for a nice spot of supper might be more than a little bemused.
