The plans for Branksome Rec have been thrown out
CONTROVERSIAL plans for a £1m football stadium on Branksome Rec have been thrown out by Poole council planners.
The planning committee thrashed out Poole Town Football club's application for several hours at a packed meeting at Poole Port today – and the long awaited decision is finally in.
Councillors agreed with the planning officer’s recommendation, which was outlined in a 25-page report listing a series of reasons for refusal.
Their decision has delighted campaigners who have been fighting the plans since April last year.
