Rotarians in Blandford raised nearly £2,500 at a gala dinner at the town’s Crown Hotel.
Good causes from across the Georgian town will benefit from the money raised with the Blandford Opportunity Group, the Friends of Blandford Hospital and the Knees Up exercise group among eight groups supported.
Graham Colls, the president of the Blandford Stour Rotary Club, said he had been thrilled to present the cheques to so many good causes.
Blandford’s Treads youth centre, the Clean Up Blandford Campaign, and the Dorset Air Ambulance were also among the beneficiaries.
