FAMILIES in Blandford are being invited to a Christingle service to raise money for the Children’s Society.
The service – which symbolises the light of Christ’s birth with an orange decorated with fruit and topped with a candle – will be held at the church of St Peter and St Paul in the Market Place.
The Rev Tim Storey said: “The Christingle service is a wonderful way to begin Advent and set the scene for Christmas as well as a way of supporting the work of the Children’s Society.”
Everyone attending the service will be offered a Christingle.
The service will include traditional carols and readings as well as prayers for the work of the Children’s Society.
The service will be held on Sunday, November 29, at 4pm.
