LIDL has submitted a revised design to New Forest council in the hope of opening its first store in the New Milton area.
The artist’s impression shows how the new store would look if the company were given the go-ahead to build on the former Olympian Renault site in Lymington Road.
Residents have been invited to study the plans, which will be on display at New Milton Community Hall in Osborne Road from 3pm until 8pm on Wednesday November 4.
“The store will feature a high quality, bespoke design that has been tailored to match the character of the surrounding local commercial and residential properties,” said a Lidl spokesman.
“Lidl are one of the world’s leading grocery retailers with 9,000 stores worldwide and 530 stores in the UK alone.”
Members of the public will be given the chance to speak to Lidl’s in-house property team on Wednesday and light refreshments will be available.
