A 79-year-old Poole woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-car collision in the town on Monday afternoon.
West Street leading to Poole Bridge was closed for several hours during the evening peak period.
The woman, who was driving a Mitsubishi car towards the town centre, received serious leg and internal injuries and her 80-year-old passenger was slightly injured. Both were taken to Poole Hospital.
The driver of a Honda car heading towards Hamworthy received slight injuries and was treated at the scene.
