UNLESS you've been living on Mars for the last few months, it's been impossible to avoid Alesha Dixon.

New album, new single and her controversial role as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing means the former Mis-teeq star is always on our screens or gracing the pages of our tabloids.

With one of the noisiest voices and one of the dirtiest laughs on telly, Alesha is someone you love or hate.

And last night hundreds of the former packed Southampton Guildhall for her energetic and thrilling live show.

Wearing costumes that would put the Strictly stars in the shade, she was joined on stage by a four-piece band, backing singers and two male dancers.

New single To Love Again, released this week, showed the softer side of Alesha but it was The Boy Does Nothing and a medley looking back to her Mis-teeq days that really got the crowd going.

Alesha, on the penultimate date of her tour, got the balance of dance and song just right, well aware that half the audience were there courtesy of her winning performance on the reality show last year, not because of her singing.

And some of her routines showed that this year's contestants have a lot to learn if they are even going to come close to her high standards.
