A-Level results at Brockenhurst College have broken all records this year. Staff and students are celebrating a pass rate of 98.8 per cent with A to B grades at 50 per cent and A to C grades at 7per cent, all college records. One hundred per cent pass rates were achieved in 30 subjects. A total 152 students gained grade As in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology while 56 students gained three or more grade As.

Kieran Finn from Ringwood achieved six grade As including 100 per cent in all modules of his A level Physics. Four students gained five grade As including Daniel Wales from Brockenhurst. Fourteen students achieved four grade As including Daniel Stordy and Callum Vibert from Bournemouth. Three A grades were achieved by: Krystina Bailey from Barton-on-Sea, Charlotte Cheeseman and David Reed from Poole, Lauren Emmett from Christchurch, Rhiannon Kendall from Alderholt, Vera Markby from Fordingbridge, Jamie Mitchell from Burton, Marienna Pope-Weidemann from Swanage, Nicola Rogers and Stephanie Rooke from Highcliffe, Philippa Roloff-Standring from West Moors, Rebecca Atkinson, Shahab Rostami and Matthew Terry from Bournemouth and James White of Burley. Stephanie Rooke said: “I am so pleased to have achieved three As. All the hard work and the support from my subject tutors has paid off.”

Principal Di Roberts described the results as “outstanding”.

At New Milton, Arnewood School sixth form students celebrated another year of good A-Level results.

Eight students have achieved at least three A grades or distinctions in their courses. The overall pass rate at A to E is 99 per cent.

Headteacher, Chris Hummerstone, said: “We continue to maintain high standards and are thrilled with the results for many individual students, with strong performances across all courses. “We congratulate all those who have worked so hard to be part of this year’s success.”

Ringwood School headteacher Chris Edwards said: “I am delighted that the school has once again achieved an excellent set of A-Level results, with students doing as well or better than expected.

“Around half the grades awarded were A or B and three-quarters A to C, and a 79 per cent pass rate. Students studying BTEC qualifications at level three achieved excellent results with a 100 per cent pass rate overall.”

Seenteen students gained three or more grade As with Rebecca Sherring earning five. The majority of university applicants have secured their first choices.
