MORE unhappy customers of a Purbeck kitchenware company have come forward.

The Daily Echo reported how dozens of people had ordered goods from Lytchett Matravers-based deCuisine, only for the company to take their money and not send anything out.

Internet forums are filled with similar stories and it seems little has changed since the problems were made public.

Last month owner Mike Wheale defended deCuisine, saying the company, run by himself, his wife and son, had become overwhelmed.

Now, more people have contacted the paper, among them Liz Street who had been waiting several months for a baking tin.

She has now been refunded by her credit card company: “They should contact customers, put an explanation on their website, or allow customers to leave a message and then get back to them.”

Doug Oliver added: “No goods were delivered and I was unable to contact them. In the end I went to the trading address and I got my money back.”

Dorset Trading Standards said it appeared the firm had been overwhelmed, but there was nothing more sinister going on.

Mr Wheale did not respond to the Echo’s request for a comment.
