A CYCLIST, who rode the wrong way down a one-way street seconds before colliding with a car, has been rushed to hospital with serious injures.
The 29-year-old Poole man was injured in Parkstone’s Bournemouth Road, at 5.15pm, on Friday.
Dorset police said: “The cyclist, who was riding the wrong way along Mansfield Road, which is a one-way street, collided with the vehicle which was travelling along Bournemouth Road.”
The driver of the Citroen Xsara, a 44-year-old man from the Gloucester area, was uninjured.
Paramedics gave the cyclist on-the-spot treatment at the scene, before rushing his t Poole Hospital’s accident and emergency department.
It is not thought his injuries are life threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
