MORE than 70 acts compete for the last places in the semi-final of Talentcall, the biggest talent search on the south coast, in a five heat run starting on Sunday, August 9.

Comedians, dancers, singers, musicians are all taking part in the shows, taking place at the Royal Bath Hotel on Bath Road in Bournemouth every night until August 13.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm.

The audience vote will be vital in getting acts through to the next round each night.

Hosted by professional comedian John Lory, and with an all-star professional judging panel composed of the industry’s top people, four competitors will be chosen from each heat.

The winners of the heats then go through to the semi-finals, then on to the grand final in October.

John said: “The talent has been amazing.

“The standard is as high as ever and the judges are having a very difficult time only selecting four out of 12 acts which is why we need audience help.”

Talentcall sponsor Domino Pizza has put up the top prize of £2,500 and John St Quintin Residential has sponsored the runner up prize of £500.

The winner will also get invaluable help from industry experts to further their performing career.

Money raised is supporting children’s hospice Julia’s House.

Just turn up at the door for tickets.

Two Band Bash nights have been organised for Mr Kyps in Poole for September 2 and 9.

Ten bands will take part each night and one winner will go straight through to the final. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm and tickets are available on the Talentcall website.
