A RANDOM passer-by had a spectacular dance-off with Britain’s Got Talent Stars Flava in Bournemouth Square The seven-strong dance group were promoting public transport when the man took on group founder Kyle.

Amateur dancer Dario put a on a great show of break dancing– even in front of Kyle’s face – as the audience of around 100 cheered them on.

“I just found the people dancing and I just enjoyed it with them,” said Dario, 28, a north African Italian, living and working in Bournemouth. “He won – he danced good!”

Cornish dance group Flava reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2008 and represented England at the World Hip Hop Championships in Los Angeles.

The performances included the routine in masks that brought them acclaim from Simon Cowell as the “good hoodies”.

Founder Kyle Richardson, 19, said last year they been mainly working in schools with the Metropolitan Police to reduced antisocial behaviour and knife crime.

“I definitely could have got into trouble without dancing,” he said. “And it’s very rewarding to get all the positive feedback afterwards.”

He added: “It’s the first time I’ve been to Bournemouth – it’s gorgeous and the people are really nice.”

The dancers were promoting Traveline, a new one-stop enquiries service so people don’t need to ring every single bus or train company.

Charlotte, 12, from Townsend, said: “Flava were really good – better than Diversity and Flawless!”
