DETECTIVES have renewed their appeal for information about an attempted robbery of a man in a Kinson play park by releasing an e-fit of the attacker.

The 21-year-old victim was threatened with violence and told to hand over his personal belongings as he sat with his girlfriend in the swing park at the junction of Mandale Road and Turbary Park Avenue just before 2am on Saturday, May 23.

Two men, who appeared to be drunk, approached the couple and one attempted to rob the victim and, on finding nothing, assaulted him.

DC Liz Westaway, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release an e-fit of the man responsible for this cowardly and unprovoked attack.

“I would like to speak urgently with anyone who recognises this man.”

The robber is described as white, 6ft to 6ft 4ins tall, of stocky build and aged between 18 and 22. He had short blonde messy hair, small ears and a rounded nose. He was wearing a long-sleeved, pale coloured top and dark coloured jeans.

The second man, who detectives would also like to trace, is described as white, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and aged between 16 and 20. He had short dark hair, a rounded face with a fair complexion and a thin nose.

The victim was shaken but not seriously injured.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 222222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
