POLICE have appealed for information about the stabbing in Bournemouth’s Wavell Road on Thursday afternoon.
A 25-year-old man was taken to Poole Hospital with a non-life threatening wound to his leg.
Police were called at 4.20pm to a report of a serious assault and found the man lying in the front garden of a semi-detached property in Kinson.
Detective Sergeant Garry Knight, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “I understand the victim and attacker are known to each other and we are continuing to make enquiries.
“I believe a number of people will have seen what happened and I need all witnesses to contact me.
“I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the suspect drive away in a white Vauxhall Vectra.”
A white Vauxhall Vectra was found in West Howe area later the same day and it is being forensically examined.
