DO you dare to come face to face with a terrifying T-rex or fancy a close encounter with a flesh-eating Baryonyx?
If so, Bournemouth will be the place to be this summer where a thrilling Dinosaur Encounter awaits locals and visitors alike.
The Bournemouth International Centre will host a renowned travelling display from the Natural History Museum for a seven-week period, starting on July 11.
Animatronic models, some as big as 25ft long and 13ft high, are certain to thrill visitors young and old. Models include a frightening Tyrannosaurus Rex, an Ankylosaur, a Baryonyx, which boasts 96 teeth and an Oviraptor.
Dinosaur Encounter was devised by museum scientists to bring life-like reality and scientific accuracy to the models.
Tickets are due to go on sale within the next few days and the display is set to be a hit with holiday-makers, school groups and local families. It is said to appeal particularly to children between the ages of four and 11.
Tickets will cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and £15 for a family of four, to include no more than two adults. The exhibition will be open from 10am until 6pm.
BIC bosses hope the exhibition, along with the popular summer ice-skating, will attract thousands of people to the centre this summer. Both will also be running throughout the Bournemouth Air Festival.
