LEGENDARY singer songwriter Neil Young will close this year’s Isle of Wight Festival in June.

A cult hero with mainstream appeal, Young continues to dignify his nickname Crazy Horse with albums as varied and vital as any from a career that now spans five decades since Buffalo Springfield in the 1960s, through the years with hippy heroes Crosby Nash Stills and Young, and into the solo career that has served him so magnificently since the early 1970s.

His forthcoming release, Fork in the Road, is expected to see him return to his country roots and is one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

The Canadian legend joins The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, The Ting Tings, Stereophonics and Razorlight at the festival, which runs from June 12 to 14.
