DAILY Echo readers have been reporting strange lights in the sky over Poole Bay on Friday night, October 10.
A woman living on Bournemouth's West Cliff told the Echo on Saturday: "I was on my balcony with a friend at about 9.45pm last night when more than 40 planes flew over the trees.
"There were lots of bright lights but no sound at all. I rang the police but no-one has been able to tell me what it was all about.
"It didn't look as if they were going in the right direction to land at Bournemouth."
Another witness, Richard Hood, watched from Alum chine at 6.03pm, and said the lights remained in a straight line. "Whatever it was, they kept the same distance apart. None of them got too close to each other," he said.
