AN ‘ultra-luxury’ cruise ship is docked in Poole Harbour.

The Seabourn Venture arrived in the port this morning, May 10, with members of the Daily Echo’s Camera Club capturing the ship as it came into the harbour and after it docked.

It is set to set sail on a 28-day expedition cruise around the UK and up to the Norwegian Fjords on Sunday, May 12, departing from Greenwich in London with its destination set for Tromso, Norway.

The ship is 557 feet in length and can accommodate 264 guests on board.

Bournemouth Echo:

Seabourn describes the Venture as a purpose-built expedition ship, ‘paying tribute to the remote destinations visited by the brand's highly successful expedition’.

The Seabourn Venture was launched in July 2022, with its sister ship, Seabourn Pursuit, launched in August 2023.

The company said the ship is equipped with two custom-built submarines, sea kayaks and 24 Zodiacs, inflatable boats that are able to transport passengers on excursions away from the ship.
