UPDATE: Douglas Mallett has now been found by police.
An urgent search has been launched to find a missing man last seen on his mobility scooter.
Douglas Mallett, 48, went missing after 1pm on Thursday in the South Gorley area of the New Forest.
He was riding his mobility scooter at the time.
Douglas is described as white, 5ft 7ins, of large build and with short brown hair.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “Have you seen Douglas since he was reported missing?
“Have you found an abandoned mobility scooter in the local area?
“If you have any information that could help us, please contact us immediately on 101 quoting 44240195081.
“In an emergency dial 999.”
