A KITTEN rescued from Greece has gone missing in Swanage within seven hours of its arrival in its new home.

Valentina, also known as Tiny, went missing just hours after being brought to England from Crete.

The stray cat was saved by Gloucestershire woman, Rachel Wayman, 54, on her holiday after she nursed it back to health.

Rachel said: "This little kitten kept coming around for three or four days on its own and there seemed to be other cats chasing it off, swiping at it so we nursed it back to health and then she went to a Scottish lady in Crete who fostered her until October 2023.

"My sister-in-law paid for a flight for the cat to Paris and then it got transported on the Eurostar to London and she's been with us in Gloucestershire since."

However, Rachel had to find Tiny a new home after her other cat found the new company unwanted which led to her finding a new owner in Swanage.

Dropped on May 1 to the new home, Rachel was shocked to hear Tiny had escaped the home through an open window within seven hours of being in the area.

She said: "She got out a window when she should have been in the house for at least a month. She has no idea where she is. We didn't want her to go but my other cat hates her and on day I didn't know if I could do it so I stayed at home.

"I went down on Friday and stayed until Sunday and we've been looking all night. I walked 15,000 steps trying to find her, my body was broken."

Rachel has said once they find her she plans to take her left upset by the lack of care towards her.

A European short hair, she is made distinctive by a cut in her ear.

She said: " I said to the owners I don't care what you say, I'm taking this cat when I find her because I can't go through this again."
