TWO MEN have been arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs into the UK after warrants were executed across Ringwood.

Shortly before 7am on May 2, two raids were carried out at addresses across Ringwood.

The first warrant was completed on Hampton Drive.

A 19-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested on suspicion of attempt to possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

The man was also detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – a controlled drug of Class B – into the United Kingdom.

Mobile phones, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia were also seized during the raid.

The second warrant took place on Wessex Estate where a 20-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested in Gillingham, Dorset.

He was detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – a controlled drug of Class B – into the United Kingdom.

Mobile phones were also seized at the address.

Reflecting on the warrants, New Forest Detective Inspector Tim Sivarajah said: “This is yet another example of our continued efforts to relentlessly pursue criminals causing the most harm to our communities.
