FORENSICS officers were called to investigate a town centre burglary at a jewellery store.
Police were called to a break-in at Ernest Jones in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, April 23.
Officers attended that night and arrested a man from Bournemouth, 42, on suspicion of burglary.
It’s not believed anything was stolen from the shop, Dorset Police has said.
A spokeswoman said: “Dorset Police received a report at 1.29am on Tuesday 23 April 2024 of a break-in at Ernest Jones in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and a 42-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
“He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue. The investigation is continuing.”
A crime scene investigator van was seen parked outside the House of Fraser building next door on Wednesday morning while a forensics examination was carried out.
Inside the shop, wooden boarding can be seen on a door leading to the back of the shop.
