MULTIPLE police officers rushed to a caravan park after a woman was assaulted. 

Emergency services raced to Swanage Bay View Holiday Park off Priests Road shortly after midday on Wednesday, April 17. 

A woman in her 20s suffered what police described as “minor injuries” and arrested a man in his 30s who is known to her. 

He was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but, following liaison with the woman, officers released him without charged. 

One witness said they saw four or five police vehicles race to the caravan park. 

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.33pm that a woman had been assaulted by a man who was known to her at the Swanage Bay View Holiday Park. 

“The man was aged in his 30s and was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. 

“Following enquiries and further liaison with the woman involved, who was aged in her 20s and sustained minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment, the arrested man was subsequently released without charge.”
