WE are all aware of the struggle that our town centre shops are facing.
More, we are told, must be done to promote trade.
I recently visited Kingland Road car park in Poole and presumed that I could still purchase a parking ticket for a one hour stay (was £1.10).
A sign informed me that this was no longer an option, and the minimum cost of a ticket was now £2.30 (for up to two hours)
What of those great many people who want to visit for under one hour? And how will this benefit local business?
Are we all being made sacrificed lambs in order to balance the books and fund pet projects?
BCP – bountiful car parks. Even Dick Turpin wore a mask!
