A family-run Christchurch wellbeing studio has been nominated in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for best yoga and pilates studio.

Bridge Health and Wellbeing, Christchurch, has been shorted listed for the best yoga and pilates studio in Dorset, Somerset and Bristol award in the coveted Muddy Stilettos Awards 2024.

Muddy Stilettos Awards bring attention to independent lifestyle business across the UK and has 21 different categories.

Louise O'Connell, co-founder and pilates teacher, said: "As a family-run business, we are passionate about our local community and helping residents in Christchurch and beyond to get better, build strength, feel happy and healthy in their mind and body.

"As we approach our fifth birthday, it would be a fantastic present to win the title of best yoga and pilates studio in our area. Please vote and help us bring the title home to Dorset!"

The family-run health and wellbeing clinic was nominated by a member of the public to the awards and, after an initial round of voting, the clinic made its way to the regional finals alongside four other studios in Sherborne, Lyme Regis and Bath.

BHW offer high quality physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment, sports massage and rehabilitation services alongside expert yoga and wellbeing classes inside a state-of-the-art gym.

Louise said: "We are super excited to have made the final five of the Muddy Stilettos Pilates studio in our area.

"Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to nominate or vote for us so far. We really appreciate your support."

Voting is completely free and is open from 1pm on April 18.

Regional winners will be announced on May 2 and then will automatically advance to the National Muddy Awards.

Louise runs the studio with her husband Paul O'Connell and hopes that people will come down to see the services offered.

While Louise is a pilates teacher, Paul is a trained physiotherapist.

BHW describe their vision as simple to 'help you get better, build strength and fell happy and healthy' and is named after Christchurch's famous own town bridge, a stone throw from the studio.
