A STUBBORN man refused to leave a shopping centre library.

According to the police, the man was “behaving aggressively” at the Central Library in the Dolphin shopping centre in Poole

A witness said he saw security and police officers run up the stairs to the library in a bid to get the man to leave.

Eventually, he was persuaded to go elsewhere by staff members and he was not arrested following the incident on Wednesday afternoon, April 10.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At 1.08pm on Wednesday 10 April 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a man behaving aggressively and refusing to leave the Central Library in the Dolphin Centre in Poole.

“We were then informed that the man was persuaded to leave of his own accord by members of staff and no offences were disclosed.”
