A RESTAURANT in Highcliffe has picked up a prestigious award in what has been described as a "remarkable feat for Dorset’s culinary scene".

The Lord Bute has been awarded the best luxury restaurant in Dorset in the LuxLife Food and Drink Awards 2024.

The awards, which celebrate the world's finest food and drink establishments, found the restaurant in Lymington Road stood out from its peers.

Chef Bradley Green took over the running of the Lord Bute restaurant in September last year.

Growing up in Essex, Bradley began his career at the illustrious Il Bottaccio in Grosvenor Place, Belgravia.

He went on to create Green's - a top-tier brand of London restaurants which has experienced huge success, picking up 16 awards and a top ranking in Time Out magazine.

In his new role in Highcliffe, Bradley combines local ingredients with international culinary techniques to ‘captivate diners’.

He is pleased to have now been formally recognised on a prestigious platform.

In addition to picking up an award, the Lord Bute has entered into an exclusive partnership with champagne house Pommery.

This collaboration has birthed The Pommery Afternoon Tea, by Bradley Green, seeing culinary offerings paired with the Apanage range of Pommery champagne.

The Lord Bute described the partnership as one that “elevates the dining experience" while setting the restaurant apart “as a destination for those seeking the pinnacle of luxury dining”.

Giles Henton, Pommery’s UK sales director, said: “We are tremendously excited to be working with Bradley Green.”

The Lord Bute has also introduced a new ten-course tasting menu, which sees chefs including Bradley do ‘food theatre’ at the table.

A spokesperson for the restaurant said: “Bradley Green and his team are dedicated to continuing their pursuit of culinary excellence, ensuring that each visit to the Lord Bute is not just a meal, but a memorable experience that celebrates the best of luxury, comfort, and taste.

"With these exciting developments, the Lord Bute stands as a testament to the vibrant culinary landscape of Dorset, inviting locals and visitors alike to indulge in a dining experience that is truly exceptional."
