AN inquest has opened into the death of a young man who was found unresponsive in his bed.

Dylan Matthew Hall, 25, was found in his Bournemouth flat by a concerned friend who went looking for him.

Area coroner for Dorset, Brendan Allen, opened the inquest into his death at Bournemouth Town Hall on Monday, March 25.

Dylan was born in Poole on July 26, 1998, and was living in a multi-occupancy flat in Glen Fir Road at the time of his death.

On October 8 of last year, a friend of Dylan’s went to his flat to check on him.

The friend had not seen Dylan for four days and was concerned for his welfare, the coroner’s court heard.

He called for an ambulance after finding Dylan unresponsive in his bed, and on arrival, paramedics confirmed he had died.

Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

A post-mortem carried out on October 13 gave the medical cause of death as ‘unascertained’, and samples have been taken for further analysis.

Coroner Mr Allen adjourned the inquest to June 17 at 10am.

He has also requested statements from Dylan’s family, and the mental health teams and treatment agencies to which was known.
