IN this day and age of trying to recycle everything.
Why does our great councils of Dorset not adopt a scheme that Malta has adopted.
The residents there take their plastic and glass waste to recycling hubs at every village or town.
They put their waste into a machine, push a button and get a receipt for what they have deposited.
They then take that to a supermarket and get free water or similar as a thank you.
It works, it is easy and I cannot believe that we have not introduced something similar here in this country.
Why not be the first in B.C.P. or Dorset Council to introduce this idea ?
In Malta you do not see plastic bottles lying around the main roads or villages. Why are we paying some of the councillors that do not put any effort back into the community ?
