HAVING read the proposal to ban dogs from entering the water at Stour Nature Reserve and not to let them off the lead.

I would like to bring your attention to another species of being that has and is causing more damage.

This species leaves discarded rubbish all over the reserve. It includes soiled nappies, broken glass, rotting food, plastic bags, the list goes on .

This species also causes suffering to the wildlife. I have witnessed a game, where the species think it’s great fun to throw heavy stones at the Swans, ducks, and other birds.

Fishing line and hooks are also abandoned.

Perhaps it is this species also known as man that should have limited access to the reserve, after all it is not the dogs who are irresponsible but that same species called man.
