RESIDENTS will soon be able to start moving into a new housing development after years of planning and construction.

Developers for Kingsmere Park off New Road, West Parley, have said construction work is “progressing well” with the first home due to be ready and to move in to in April.

Bellway is building 236 homes in the first phase of Kingsmere Park, including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses.

The development is planned to form part of a wider neighbourhood of 386 homes, alongside 14 acres of green open space and half an acre of allotments.

Bournemouth Echo: Inside a four-bed home

Bellway is also offering residents the chance to view a four-bedroom home which sales manager Emily Putnam said is “already impressing” visitors.

Emily said: “We took a reservation on the day we first opened the show home and interest has continued to run high since then.

“The show home gives buyers a good idea of the space and quality they can expect in a typical home at Kingsmere.

“We’ve styled the separate dining room as a large study, with a dining table in the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, to show the options for those who work from home or need space to study.

“Customers love the show home’s light and spacious feel, which is enhanced by the use of natural materials and soft pastels in the interior scheme.

“Visiting the site has also given buyers the chance to appreciate its great location, with plenty of day-to-day amenities within easy reach and the beach at Bournemouth just six miles away.”

She added: “The provision of open space and allotments ties into our focus on biodiversity which is one of the key priorities of our Better with Bellway sustainability strategy.

“This will also be a sustainable development with electric vehicle charging points for all houses and solar panels to selected plots, helping customers reduce their carbon emissions and minimise their energy bills.”
