A TEENAGER has been found guilty of manslaughter but not guilty of murder after stabbing a boy to death in Bournemouth.
Thomas Betteridge, 18, has been convicted of killing Cameron Hamilton after a fight broke out in the early hours of the morning in August.
Mr Hamilton was fatally stabbed on Saturday, August 5, last year.
Thomas Betteridge, and Lennie Hansen, both 18, have been facing trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.
Betteridge denied charges of murder, manslaughter, and being in possession of a bladed article.
Hansen denied a charge of assisting an offender.
He was accused of swapping shoes with Betteridge to help him avoid police detection after the stabbing.
Betteridge was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter and possessing a bladed article, while Hansen was found not guilty of assisting an offender.
The jury deliberated for a total of 23 hours and 41 minutes.
A sentencing hearing will be held on April 5.
