A MAN who assaulted a woman at a Bournemouth club has been banned from entering any bar, nightclub or pub in England and Wales.
Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ outside Bar SO in Exeter Road shortly before 2am on Sunday, September 17, last year.
It was reported a female member of security staff had been assaulted by a man, who had bitten her hand and breast.
Officers attended, and detained 19-year-old Jack Higgins-Burnett in connection with the incident.
His details were taken and he was issued with a section 35 dispersal notice.
At around 4.15am, officers in the area reported Higgins-Burnett had returned.
He was arrested and subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Higgins-Burnett appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 27, for sentencing, having admitted the charge.
The defendant, of Pitwines Close in Poole, was handed a 26 week jail sentence suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay compensation of £400.
He was also banned from entering any bar, nightclub or public house in England and Wales for six months.
