A SERIAL thief who stole items from shops including chicken and alcohol has appeared in court.

Justin Fayer, 49, admitted committing six offences of theft during the spring of last year.

On March 5, Fayer stole chicken breast to the value of £26.25 from M&S in Leigh Road, Wimborne.

On March 10, he stole bottles of alcohol to the value of £83.50 from the Co-op in Trinity Street, Dorchester.

On March 24, the defendant stole more bottles of alcohol from the store to the value of £96.

On March 29, he stole groceries to the value of £69 from BP Oil in Leigh Road, Wimborne.

On April 14, Fayer stole groceries to the value of £66.30 from the Co-op in Sandbanks Road, Poole.

On May 15, he stole groceries to the value of £100 from BP Petrol Station in Ringwood Road, St Leonards.

Fayer, of Crossmead in Watford, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 27, to be sentenced for his offences.

He was given a 20 week jail term suspended for 12 months.
