A WOMAN was reportedly raped at a B&B in Bournemouth.
Police were called to reports of a rape at a B&B in Knole Road, Boscombe in the early hours of this morning, January 13.
Residents living in the road said they had also seen an ambulance and a doctor’s car in the area at around 5am.
A 37-year-old man from Christchurch has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Meanwhile, the victim, who is known to the man, is being supported by specially-trained officers while detectives investigate.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 5.49am on Saturday 13 January 2024 that a woman had been raped by a man at an address in Knole Road in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
“The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers and an investigation has been launched by detectives.
“A 37-year-old man from Christchurch – who is known to the victim – has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
“A cordon has been put in place at the address while enquiries are carried out.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area and officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
