CHRISTOPHER MCCARRY, aged 58 and of Matlock Road, Ferndown, admits keeping a vehicle which was unlicensed in Harbour Lane, Rochdale, on May 5, 2022. Fined £107. To pay £1.67 vehicle excise back duty and £43 surcharge.

NORTH DORSET

MITCHELL CHANDLER, aged 19 and of Cobham Road, Blandford Forum, admits driving a Ford Ka in Salisbury Street, Blandford, on April 16 with 80 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months. Also admits driving a Ford motor vehicle in Salisbury Street, Blandford, on April 16 while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence. Committed to prison for two months, suspended for 18 months. To pay £85 costs and £154 surcharge. Also admits using a Ford Ka in Salisbury Street, Blandford, on April 16 without insurance. No separate penalty.

THOMAS ALAN MELLOR, aged 42 and of HMP Guys Marsh, admits stealing alcohol valued at £600 belonging to Asda in Gillingham on August 17, 2022. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive. Also admits stealing alcohol to the value of £330 belonging to Tesco in Riverside Avenue, Bournemouth, on July 16, 2022. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive. Also admits having a quantity of oxycodone in St Mary’s Road, Bournemouth, on October 8, 2021. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive. Also admits possession of a quantity of zopiclone and buprenorphine in St Mary’s Road, Bournemouth, on October 8, 2022. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive. Overall length of sentence eight weeks.

PAUL YOUNG, aged 57 and of HMP Winchester, admits stealing meat products valued at £400 belonging to Waitrose in Ashley Road, Poole, on February 11. Committed to prison for two weeks. To pay £400 compensation. Also admits stealing a Delonghis coffee maker valued at £549.99 belonging to John Lewis at Poole Retail Park, Redlands, Poole, on March 24. Committed to prison for two weeks concurrent. To pay £549.99 compensation.

CALLUM GIDDINS, aged 19 and of Blandford Road, Hamworthy, admits having a quantity of cannabis at Redcotts Recreation Ground, Redcotts Road, Wimborne Minster, on July 19, 2022. Community order made, whereby the defendant must take part in a 29-day accredited programme, take part in up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity and carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. Drugs to be forfeited and destroyed. Also admits assaulting a man by beating him in Eastbrook Row, Wimborne, on July 8, 2022. Community order made, whereby the defendant must take part in an accredited programme for 29 days, take part in 10 days of rehabilitation activity and carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. To pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.

LUCY SUMNER, aged 25 and of Russell Gardens, Poole, admits having a quantity of cocaine at Weymouth West Police Station in Radipole Lane, Chickerell, on April 5. No separate penalty. Drugs to be forfeited and destroyed. Also admits assaulting PC McClements, an emergency worker acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him on the A35 Uploders on April 5. Fined £120. To pay £85 costs and £48 surcharge. Also admits commission of a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order for a period of 12 months imposed on March 2 for two offences of theft. No action taken on breach.
