A VIGIL will take place today in memory of Brianna Ghey, a transgender teenager who was stabbed to death.

Jointly organised by two Bournemouth-based LGBTQ organisations, Inclusive Community Church and Bourne Free, the candlelight vigil will take place on Sunday, February 19, at 4pm in The Triangle outside Flirt cafe.

Sixteen-year-old Brianna, from Birchwood in Warrington, was found by members of the public as she lay with fatal stab wounds in a park at around 3.13pm on Saturday, February 11.

More vigils are due to be held across the country in the coming days.
