RUNAWAY Ryan the pig is still being cared for at Ashley Heath's RSPCA centre after its owner failed to come forward.
The piglet - nicknamed after a certain airline - was spotted trotting along the road to Bournemouth Airport on Wednesday April 2. He was picked up by a worried member of public and handed over to the RSPCA.
The RSPCA say they have no idea where Ryan came from and, despite an appeal, no one has come forward to collect him.
Jo Barr, spokeswoman for the RSPCA, said: "Because he seems very friendly, we don't think he has come from a farm. It is more likely someone was keeping him as a pet and that he was possibly bottle-raised. He is quite curious and friendly and a pig that had spent time with other pigs would be quite timid.
"The ideal situation would be to return him to his owner. If not we would be looking at finding a suitable home for him with someone who has experience of pigs."
Ryan is believed to be a cross between a Duroc and Tamworth.
