A woman in her 90s has died in a house fire in the Talbot Woods area of Bournemouth.
Redhill Park crews attended the address in Dulsie Road shortly after 10 am on Saturday following a call from ambulance service colleagues.
The property was completely smoke logged and crews used breathing apparatus to investigate the source of the fire, which was found to involve an electric blanket.
The elderly occupant was found to be dead by emergency services when they arrived at the premises.
Six people have now died in fire-related incidents in Dorset in the past two months.
The Talbot Woods property did not have a working smoke alarm, said a spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service.
