BOURNEMOUTH hopefuls were auditioning for Britain's Got Talent yesterday.

There was a smaller queue of people aiming to impress producers than in previous years.

However, those who lined up outside Cafe Obscura say they've got what it takes to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

Hallie Sells, 15, waited with mum Tanya for her audition.

The teenager, who attends a performing arts school, sang On My Own from Les Misérables.

Tanya said: "She's absolutely amazing.

"She's a singer-songwriter and she's self-taught on the piano. She really is brilliant."

Hallie said: "I started singing properly when I was about 11.

!I do feel quite nervous."

Saffron McCabe, 10, joined schoolfriend Sofia Kingwell, also 10, in the queue.

Both of the St Michael's Primary School pupils sang for the judges.

Saffron said: "I'm singing This Is Gospel by Panic! At The Disco because I'm a huge fan of them."

Oak Academy pupil Charlie Mellars, 13, performed Real by NF.

Seven-year-old Joe Campbell-Marsh struggled to pick between his three choices as he waited for his audition.

However, he performed Would It Be Loverly from My Fair Lady for the Daily Echo.

He said: "I've always wanted to come and do this, for years and years.

"I've wanted to audition from when I first saw it on TV."

Denise Mitchell, 54, has been auditioning for Britain's Got Talent for more than a decade. This year, she sang, although in previous years, she has performed a dance for producers.

"I'd just really like to meet Simon," she said.

"I'd love to meet the judges. I've been coming for a long time so hopefully this is my year."
