PEOPLE will be able to get behind the scenes of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital next month when the popular open day returns.
The free event takes place between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, September 15 and last year around 500 people attended.
It will see a number of a new interactive activities on offer including CPR demonstrations and tours of the X-ray department plus advice on how to help someone who is choking.
There will also be tours of the theatres, endoscopy, pharmacy and physiotherapy departments and the emergency services hub will also be returning.
Plus blood pressure checks, eye tests and respiratory checks.
While little ones are invited to take their teddies along to the Teddy Bear Clinic to have their favourite toys checked over.
Children will also be given a sticker passport on arrival which they can complete by visiting different areas throughout the day.
For anyone wanting to improve their eating habits, dietitians will be on hand to talk to people about what they are putting in their lunchbox to see if they are missing any key food groups.
Representatives from Dorset Police, Safe Bus and Dorset Fire and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue will also be at the event.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is set to make an appearance during the day, weather permitting.
There will be free parking on site all day.
