A SIX-WEEK-OLD baby has been injured after falling out of his pushchair following a crash with a bicycle.
Police and ambulance were called to Gervis Place, outside the Mary Shelley pub, at around 1.30pm.
The shocked father told the Daily Echo at the scene that his mother was taking the baby for a walk in the pushchair when the incident happened.
She was on the pavement and just passing the entrance to St Peter's Church when a cyclist riding out of the gates collided with the pushchair, causing the baby to fall out of the pram.
The baby has been taken to Poole Hospital, it is understood. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
The cyclist spoke to police following the crash.
He was then seen in the Mary Shelley pub. He did not wish to comment about the incident when approached by the Daily Echo.
