THE mercury is set to soar once again in Dorset over the next few days,
Temperatures of 27C have been predicted for Friday while Saturday is expected to hit highs of 28C.
Sunday will see more sunshine and highs of 25C.
Local forecaster Dorset Sun said there was a “small chance” the south could see hot air bringing temperatures into the 30s.
It will be a complete contrast to last weekend when Camp Bestival had to be cancelled on Sunday due to bad weather, however, Swanage Carnival went ahead despite the heavy rain and strong winds.
Last month Twitter-based forecaster, WessexWeather, who is situated in Sturminster Marshall, recorded a high of 30.8C on July 8. The mean temperature was 19.8C, which is 2.8C above the average, and there was 38mm of rainfall which is 79 percent of the average monthly rainfall.
The dry and warm weather is set to continue into early next week.
